The Food & loation
Small room but our fault!!
Lovely location, room was very comortable. Staff were fantastic and the whole experience was great.
the location, the clean room,
ok. could have used a bit of help getting luggage upstairs, and thought you might provide a less expensive basic breakfast. i.e coffee, juice and toast
Very helpful and friendly staff and a terrific breakfast
Receptionist would not put my Best Western Rewards Points on for me. I booked for dinner and was told I could only eat in the lounge on a very low coffee table which would have been very uncomfortable.I was not offered any alternative so I voted with my feet and ate in the town which was very good.
We stayed at the rombalds for a wedding. But because it has such lovely views we went for a walk the day after too. The staff are incredibly friendly, and we felt nothing would be too much trouble. The town and station are just a short walk away, all round a winner.
Quiet situation next to the moor yet a short (but steep) walk into the town. Very pleasant and helpful staff.
location: pet arrangements: brekfast
room and en suite small, but with a dog we don't expect the best room. Bed small and not very comfortable
Breakfast expensive and poached eggs poorly cooked
the ambiance, the cleanliness and the comfort of a nice hotel.
Perfect location. A very peaceful, leafy setting, set on a street rising from the town to the moor. Tranquil doesn't do it justice (you can even hear a babbling brook opposite the hotel to add to the overall ambiance), yet still only 2 or 3 minutes walk from the town centre. Cosy and characterful are other adjectives that spring to mind. Didn't eat at the hotel other than breakfast, which was very nice if slightly inconsistent (lukewarm beans one morning, no beans at all the next morning). But even this very minor issue only seemed to add to the place's charm! Our room wasn't big but was big enough for us. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. The overall all impression is that of a hotel which has successfully merged individual, old world charm with modern day standards. Would highly recommend and will definitely visit again.
The hotel was ideally situated for Ilkley, lovely room. Lovely bathroom with large bath.
This is a decent quality, comfortable, relaxing and quiet hotel with car park within easy reach by foot of the town centre for those who do not mind an uphill walk on the way back.
AA and RAC sign lights illuminated all night causing bedroom to be too light. Thin walls. Creaking floor boards in room above.
Helpful staff Friendly atmosphere. Dinner was excellent. Breakfast too. Recommend eating in. Comfortable lounge/bar area. Character in keeping with the surroundings - is in converted terrace houses.
Booked a room with bath, but got a room with shower. Your listing now makes it clear that a standard room has only a shower, so the problem that caused the misaligned booking is fixed.
Nice location and pleasant reception lobby
Room was very old fashioned and needed modernising the radiator was off and the room was freezing cold. The shower was grim. Room 19 overlooks a small roof,a wall and the mettle pipes and extractors from the kitchen.
